As a CMMB volunteer working as Public Health Officer at St. Camillus Mission Hospital in Karungu, Kenya. Kayla is in an ideal position to address this public health Issue. The cycle of HIV/AIDS, poverty, and poor health in Karungu creates a huge obstacle for individuals and families attempting to live a full and healthy life and Kayla, through her service, is working hard to make their lives easier.

Since 2003, CMMB Kenya has provided clinical treatment, care and support for HIV/AIDS clients in five provinces in Kenya through its participation in the AIDS Relief consortium. Each year we aid almost 90,000 people in preventing the transmission of HIV/AIDS and provide long-term care for those who test positive.
