A remarkable fact about India is that Catholics are only a small percentage of the country’s population, but Catholic healthcare constitutes approx. 25% of India’s total healthcare capacity. CMMB in India works closely with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference to raise awareness of, prevention of and treatment of HIV/AIDS. We are also active in promoting maternal health and in disaster relief.
