Foundation Profile
Lincy Foundation
The Beverly Hills-based Lincy Foundation was founded in 1989 with a primary mission of providing support for Armenian charities, education and human services. The Foundation has made crucial contributions to the infrastructure of Armenia’s emerging nation-state. In 2006, the Lincy Foundation made a substantial grant to cover operational costs incurred in the ongoing implementation of CMMB’s Healing Help medical donations program. The grant will help defray basic costs of CMMB’s worldwide medical donation efforts, which included 448 shipments to 52 countries of medicine and medical supplies valued at over $128 million in fiscal year 2006. The grant will also enable CMMB to sustain and amplify its response to the healthcare crisis in Armenia, where so many hospitals are bereft of essential medicines.
Over the past decade, CMMB has been able to deliver vital medical shipments to Armenia value at over $50 million. CMMB will continue to provide the country with life-saving shipments of medical supplies through the United Armenian Fund (UAF), which has been one of CMMB’s most important partners for more than a decade.
CMMB looks forward to developing our partnership with the UAF and with the Lincy Foundation. We hope to extend our tradition of solidarity with the Armenian people in coming years, and we thank the Lincy Foundation on behalf of all those around the world who will benefit from their generosity.
