CMMB has supported the S.E. Onukogu Foundation with donated medicines and medical supplies for the past three years and has recently received a note of thanks.

Healthcare services in developing countries are often found to be substandard due to a variety of reasons which include: lack of needed resources, weak management systems, inadequate staff training, or low morale amongst staff. Molly Berglund, an MVP volunteer in Uganda, notices that local children often don’t receive the quality of healthcare they need to stay healthy because of poorly kept medical records, poor provision of health education to mothers.

           

United Against Infant Mortality Volunteer Video

Brynn Macaulay is a registered nurse from Portland, Oregon currently serving as a volunteer in Trujillo, Peru as a part of CMMB’s Unidos Contra la Mortalidad Infantil (United Against Infant Mortality) program to improve the health of children under five years of age.

           

CMMB Honored by American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA)

On September 30th, CMMB was honored at ANERA’s Annual Dinner as one of their generous partner organizations.  More than 430 attendees were on hand for the event, which was held in Washington, D.C.  

           

Cancer Awareness

CMMB is leveraging its trusted faith- and community-based partners in Uganda to provide a comprehensive cancer prevention, treatment and care program for patients seeking oncology services at the Uganda Cancer Institute.
